Why we exist
We exist to develop the advanced materials technology that Iranian industry needs — and to build it here, not just import it. The materials we work on, from permanent magnets to technical ceramics, are the foundation of modern manufacturing. A country that cannot make its own materials cannot be fully in control of its industry.
Our mission is to be the team industry calls when it needs materials development, process design, or a hard materials problem solved. Everything else follows from that: what we research, what we say no to, and how we measure success.
Our resume, in chapters
Khat Group was founded by two top graduates of the Materials and Metallurgical Engineering program at the University of Tehran. After a decade of separate work in the materials industry, they joined forces in 2020 to build a company focused on developing real, production-ready materials technology in Iran.
Our work spans research and needs analysis through engineering craft and production planning. Most of our products were built under tight budgets and industrial constraints — which has made us precise, inventive, and honest about what works.
